-OPEN THREAD- Not much to, but nothing

OOC: This is an open thread people!! For all those who come on. ;D

The wind whispered secrets to the tall pines, aspens, and other trees in Castell Forest. The snow slowly drifted form the sky to land on the heavily burdened limbs of the mighty oaks. Steam billowed from the mighty nares of the large beat making its way through the beautiful forest. His gleaming coat seemed to blend easily into the surrounding forest. He effortlessly glided through the deep snow. He looked as though he were a god. He never sunk into the snow at all. Aspen was the name of the lone horse passing trough.

Here in Equine heaven, where it is a place for many creatures. Big or small all are welcome. Some though, don't exactly feel that way.

Being the leader of a herd. Aspen was very good at being a leader. He was smart, strong, and some would say handsome. For a horse any way. A few of the elders who knew his father, whom was too a leader of Aspens herd, said that Aspen was to be a great leader and that many would look up to him. As a matter of fact they were right. He was still alone, and hadn't had any foals what so ever. He needed to find some one soon. He needed an heir to the throne as it were, to his herd. The Quake Herd. Horses called it. Aspen continued on his way through Castell Forest. The snow had started to pick up, which made it harder to see. His long silky mane kept most of the snow out of his eye, but the whipping wind made things worse. Shelter would have been nice right about now but none of the trees bent low enough to keep wind and snow out. Nor were there caves or any sort of thing such as that around. He was in trouble. Trouble seemed to come easy to him. Not like he enjoyed it, but it showed up at his door any way. His deep chocolate eyes scanned left and right to find some sort of opening or something that would provide what he needed most right now. The wind picked up and buffeted his fur, blew into his eyes and made it so hard to see that he had to stop. He found a large oak near him, and preceded to walk toward it. He stooped low and leaned against it. Trying to keep the awful weather out.

A stallion rode through the horrible blizzard. He loved the snow because he was practically pure white. The only things that distinguished him was a black tip on the end of his tale, and a star on his fore head.
At this moment the blizzard was getting worse so he needed to find shelter as quick as he could. Off in the distance he could barely see a cave so he set off toward it.

Aspen was still leaning against the tree. He would become a horsecicle if he didn't find something other than a tree to shelter under. He could see a cave a few paces in front of him. He dug his daggers into the snow and forced his frozen pistons to move. He closed his eyes just barley to keep the snow out, and open enough to see. The cave was growing closer. Soon he would be out of the snow and into the cave. He pushed forward and next thing he knew he was out of the storm and into the cave. The sounds of hoof meeting stone was the only thing he could hear other than the wind blasting at the mouth of the cave. Aspen shook the snow from his hide. Drops of ice fell off his already frozen face. The cave was much warmer than out side was. "Ah" he said with a breath of relief. He needed to get back to his herd soon. It was a new herd and he needed to find members soon. He also needed to find a suitable Queen. But for now he was just stuck with him self.

He heard something come in the cave. He decided to go investigate. "Hello?" he shouted who are you? Cloud yelled to the stranger. "What are you doing in here...Aspen?" he said shakily. "I've heard about you."

Aspen heard another enter the cave with him. He also heard his name. This new stallion must have known him. At least his name that is. The cave was dark so he could not see very well. "Yes?" he replied with a strong voice. It was full of confidence and not a hint of fear. He came closer to where he heard the voice come from. The stallion standing at the front of the cave stuck out like a sore thumb. He was all white, besides a tip of black. He would be hard to find out in the snow though. Aspen on the other hand was harder to see. He had a dark colored hide and hid well in the cave. As well as other dark places too. He came closer and noticed that he was much taller than the stallion standing before him. He laughed to him self. He could see that the other horse was much more scared than he was. Why there was nothing in here that could pose a threat. That he knew of that is. He didn't know that they had stumbled upon a bear cave. But he would find that out much later. "And who might you be?" he said appearing out of no where. If he did frighten the young stallion he didn't mean too.

"My name is Cloud." he said "I'm just a traveler. Where are you from?" he asked, "Are you Aspen? I was born with no herd at all." he continued, "What are you doing here?"

Aspen flicked his tail for the young stallion to silence. "I'm from the Quake herd, yes, and to get out of the storm." he sighed. "Same as you." He looked around. It was very dark in the cave. He didn't much prefer dark places. "Now might I ask where you are from." he said straightening up. He didn't like being with strangers. But its not like he had much to worry about. Aspen was much larger than he was. He was also older. "I'm sorry that you don't have a herd." he said sympathetically. "I am in need of members for my herd." he said, an idea coming to his head, " Would you like to join?" he asked.

You must go to recrutions and post at quakes herd. Follow the rules there and I will check to see if you are able to join

"Where is your herd?, because I'm going to die if I stay out here any longer." he asked. "do you mind if I stay for the night?" He looked ragged and thin. His mane drooped low to the ground. "Please."

Aspen looked at the smaller white horse. His pleads hitting him hard. He did not know what to do. He had no herd. He was the leader of all the land, as he roamed alone. He was alone for the reason the he could not have a whole herd going to every territory. "I'm sorry dear friend. I have no herd for you to join." he said apologetically. He tried to think of where he could stay. It was winter. Food was scarce and he had no home.

But you said! yelling as loud as he could running off. I can't believe that I actually believed him! he said under his voice. As he was running he came upon a forest , then ran in for cover from the snow
but that was a bad idea because he was running towards a pack of wolves
